Thank you for your interest in booking an appointment or information session with Kate Jackson, Registered Migration Agent and the Comnectica Migration team.

What are the different types of appointments?

If you are a new client and are booking your first appointment with Kate, please book a ‘first consultation’. This appointment is usually 45 minutes to an hour and this will allow us to discuss your circumstances and explore options in detail.

If you are already one of our clients and you would like to book a follow-up appointment to discuss an ongoing visa or citizenship application there are three options. You can either book an appointment for a short consultation (usually 15 to 30 minutes) or a standard consultation (usually 45 minutes to an hour). If you have a ‘quick question’ please book a ‘follow-up 5 minute ‘quick question’ call’.

If you are already one of our clients and you would like to discuss a new visa or citizenship application or you would like advice about visa or citizenship options for yourself or someone else, please book a ‘new visa or citizenship application – first consultation’. This appointment is usually 45 minutes to an hour and this will allow us to discuss your circumstances and explore options in detail.

How are appointments held?

All consultations are held by telephone or Viber voice calls or on Zoom.

Face-to-face appointments are not available currently due to circumstances related to COVID-19.

It is your responsibility to download Viber or Zoom prior to the appointment.

Please note that using Viber or Zoom from a computer is preferable as this will allow screen sharing to review documents together if required.

What are the fees and how do I pay?

The fee for initial consultations is $330 inc GST. These appointments are usually 45 minutes to an hour.

Follow up appointments are $110 inc GST for a short consultation (usually 15 to 30 minutes) and $220 inc GST for a standard consultation (usually 45 minutes to an hour).

‘Quick question’ calls are $22 inc GST.

When you book an appointment you will need to provide valid credit card details.

Your credit card will be charged at the time of booking the appointment.

If more time is required, if Kate is available, it may be possible to have a longer consultation. Additional fees may apply. This will be discussed during the appointment as required.

What will happen during the consultation?

If you have requested a phone or Viber call, Kate will call you at the time of your appointment on the phone number you have provided.

If you have requested for the appointment to be held on Zoom, you will receive an email with the Zoom link. You will need to log in to Zoom at the scheduled time using the link provided.

During the appointment you will receive immigration advice and assistance from Kate in response to the information you provide both prior to the appointment and during the consultation.

Please note that we specialise in family and refugee and humanitarian visa applications. If you would like assistance with visitor, student, work or business visa applications it would be better to consult another registered migration agent or immigration lawyer.

Who will be part of the consultation?

Kate is a registered migration agent with over ten years’ experience in assisting people to navigate the Australian visa and citizenship system.

Her registration number with the Office of the Australian Migration Registration Authority is 1281909.

Kate will usually be assisted by one of the Comnectica Migration Client Support Team who will provide language assistance if required.

They speak English, Hazaragi, Dari, Farsi and Urdu.

If you need an interpreter in a different language, please let us know.

There is no fee for language assistance in Hazaragi, Dari, Farsi and Urdu however an additional fee will apply to provide interpreting services in any other languages.

If you have booked a standard consultation to explore possible visa options for family or friends, please consider inviting them to join as well. This can be done as a conference call by telephone, Viber or on Zoom.

What do I need to provide for the appointment?

If there are any documents you would like Kate to review during the consultation such as correspondence from the Department of Home Affairs, please email them to [email protected].

It is your responsibility to provide genuine documents and complete and accurate information.

Rescheduling or cancelling appointments

It is your responsibility to be on time for the consultation. If you are running late, please let us know by sending us a message.

As we often have matters that require urgent attention, we may need to reschedule your appointment to a different mutually convenient time.

If you cancel an appointment, you are required to provide MORE than 24 hours’ notice. If you do not provide at least 24 hours’ notice, no refund will be payable.

If we cancel a prepaid consultation with you with less than 24 hours’ prior notice, you shall be entitled to one free consultation of the same duration (either 30 minutes or one hour) upon rescheduling. You understand that the free consultation must be redeemed within 14 days of cancelling the previous one or shall be forfeited.
